Having recognised the need for a new approach to professional development in the financial services industry, Darren Smith launched the Quilter Academy after 23 successful years building new propositions but had a desire to create a training facility easily accessible to the whole market. He founded Studibase in 2020, in partnership with Murray Lohoar, an experienced technology specialist and Dave Pearce who has 30 years’ experience as a trainer in the industry.

Darren felt that the availability and quality of financial services training within the UK could be improved and so set out to provide a new and innovative way to support new talent.

Bringing experience from big name financial services players, the realities of SMEs and real-world challenges in the development and delivery of effective training and development, the Studibase team is committed to offering high value learning to the professional industries.
